Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) is a technology used to regulate post-combustion emissions from industrial nitrogen oxide (NOx). In the presence of oxygen and a catalyst, this technology uses a reducing agent such as ammonia to selectively lower NOx. Ammonia is pumped into the exhaust gas stream and mixed with NOx.
