MARKET OVERVIEW

Cappuccino is an Italian-based coffee drink that is prepared traditionally from double espresso and milk. It is typically smaller in volume than a latte with a thicker microfiber layer. There are different variations in the drink which involve the use of cream instead of milk and adding other flavours. It consists of one-third of each double espresso, heated milk, and milk foam respectively. It is an Italian-American espresso cuisine and is considered one of the original Italian espresso drinks.

MARKET DRIVERS

Cappuccino has a bold coffee taste with sweetness from the lactose sugar in milk which is rich in flavour and texture. It is prepared with a certain quantity of espresso, an equal amount of frothed milk, and topped with foam. It has three layers in succession in its cup. It is most often prepared in an espresso machine where the double espresso is poured into the bottom of the machine, followed by a similar amount of hot milk, which is prepared by heating and texturing the milk using the espresso machine steam wand. Cappuccino was first started in Italian cafes and it migrated into Italian-American menus before taking hold in American cafes. As of now, the cappuccino remains a fixture in modern espresso culture.

MARKET RESTRAINTS

Growing awareness about coffee among consumers is the key factor driving the Latin American market. In addition, the rise in technological advancements in vending machines, an increase in late-night work, favorable climate conditions for coffee grains, a rise in consumption of coffee, and huge investments by the major coffee shops in the coffee industry are also driving the growth of the market. However, the high cost of equipment and a limited number of skilled people for coffee production are restraining the growth of the market.
