The Global Brown Rice Market size was valued at USD 12.09 billion in 2024, and the global market size is anticipated to reach USD 18.59 billion by 2033 from USD 12.68 billion in 2025. The market's promising CAGR for the predicted period is 4.90%.
MARKET OVERVIEW
Rice is one of the world's leading staple foods eaten by more than half of the global population. Rice is produced and milled globally, yet the majority of the total rice produced is consumed in the regions where it is produced. Brown rice is hulled but unpolished whole grain rice that preserves most of the layers of the bran, the endosperm, and the germ of the paddy. These are usually preferred over white grains due to their richness in protein, vitamins, phosphorus, selenium, and magnesium.
Technological innovations in various domains are driving the market forward. Growing health awareness among eaters and their desire for more nutritious brown rice, such as magnesium, phosphorus and high-demand vitamin B in the Middle East and African countries are fuelling the Brown Rice Market. Rising per capita consumption of brown rice in countries that have not been rice-consuming for a long time is boosting the market demand. Climate and Season profoundly affect the production of Brown Rice. In the past few years, consistency is lacking in the production, which is a considerable restraint of the Brown Rice market.
